What kind of content is NOT eligible for YouTube Content ID?

Once you have Content ID activated, you can earn revenue from videos that contain your copyrighted content. YouTube will automatically generate claims against other user's uploaded content that is considered a match.
Remember: not all content is eligible for Content ID.
Some examples of ineligible content:
- Recordings containing uncleared samples
- Recordings of performances (including concerts, events, speeches, shows)
- Recordings based on free beats or any other publicly available sound files
- Compilations, unless you have explicit permission from all artists appearing on that compilation
- Music that’s released under a Creative Commons license
- Recordings exclusively made with sample libraries (such as Magix Music Maker, GarageBand)
- Include instrumental content already used in other tracks such as beat or rhythm samples, even if you were now granted them exclusively under licence
- Are meditation, yoga, or sleeping content
- Include over 10 consecutive seconds of vocalisations
- Include extracts or speeches as a whole belonging to the public domain
- Are karaoke cover versions
- Are cover versions of traditional songs or songs belonging to the public domain, including but not limited to: music for children, classical music, spiritual music
- Included in a DJ set or a continuous mix
- You previously have granted an exclusive license to a third party
- Are already monetised on Youtube through another distributor
- Are soundtracks composed for video games, television, or movies (unless you are the publisher)
